Terms & Conditions

JETAROUND Travel functions solely as a travel agent, acting as an intermediary for various transportation, accommodation, and other wholesale service providers, including airlines, coach companies, rail services, and cruise line operators. Our role at JETAROUND is to facilitate travel bookings on your behalf and establish relevant contracts between you and the respective travel service providers. It’s important to note that we bear no responsibility for these services, and we do not provide any warranty or representation regarding their quality or standard. All bookings are subject to the terms, conditions, and limitations of liability set by the individual service providers. In the event that a travel service provider is unable to fulfill the contracted services for any reason, your recourse is against the specific provider, not JETAROUND.

It is crucial that you and all members of your travel party acquaint yourselves with the following terms and conditions, as they may pertain either wholly or partially to the reservations managed by our office on your behalf. If you are making bookings for a couple or a group, we are willing to furnish multiple copies of this confirmation upon request.

All reservations have been made in accordance with the terms and conditions specified by the airlines and tour wholesalers. It is essential to carefully review the clauses related to amendments and cancellations outlined in their brochure.

LIABILITY:

We disclaim any responsibility, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, for the actions, omissions, or defaults—whether negligent or not—of third-party providers over whom we have no direct control. In instances where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the value of the purchased travel arrangements. We do not assume any responsibility, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, for any injury, damage, loss (including consequential loss), delay, additional expense, or inconvenience caused directly or indirectly by force majeure or any other event beyond our control and not preventable by reasonable diligence on our part.

QUOTED PRICES:

All prices quoted are correct at the time of issue. Deposits are held against reservations & are not a price guarantee. Prices may fluctuate depending on exchange rates.

PAYMENT OPTIONS:

All prices are based on payment by cash or Bank deposit or Bank Transfer. Credit card surcharges will apply when paying by credit card. If you intend to pay by credit card please inform us at the time of booking what type of credit card you wish to use so that we can ensure we can accept this type of card as form of payment.

DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT:

You will be required to pay a deposit or deposits when booking. Your agent will advise you of how much that will be. All deposits are non‐ refundable for changes of mind or cancellations by you (subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law). Final payment is required no later than 6 weeks prior to departure unless otherwise stated. Some airfares or services must be paid in full at the time of booking.

CANCELATION AND REFUND:

If, for any reason (voluntary and involuntary cancelations), a travel service provider cannot deliver the contracted services, your recourse is against that specific provider, not JETAROUND Travel. If payment was made to JETAROUND Travel via credit card, and JETAROUND Travel has forwarded the payment to the travel service provider, you agree not to initiate a chargeback against JETAROUND Travel.

Cancelled bookings may also incur supplier fees, which can be up to 100% of the cost of the booking, regardless of whether travel has commenced. Supplier fees may also apply where a booking is changed and when tickets or documents are re‐issued. Where we incur any liability for a supplier cancellation fee for any booking which you change or cancel, you agree to indemnify us for the amount of that fee. Where you seek a refund for a cancelled booking for which payment has been made to the supplier, we will not provide a refund to you until we receive the funds from that supplier.

PRICES:

All prices are subject to availability and can be withdrawn or varied without notice. The price is only guaranteed once paid for in full by you. Please note that prices quoted are subject to change. Price changes may occur by reason of matters outside our control which increase the cost of the product or service. TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Your holiday safety & enjoyment is important to us & we support the Australian Government’s recommendation that all travellers take out travel insurance. Ask your agent about Travel insurance and how to get covered before you travel.

TAXES & LEVIES IMPOSED:

Various countries, states, towns & airports around the world and in Australia impose a variety of Security, Airport & Departure Taxes. Where applicable & possible these have been included in the cost of the airline ticket. There may be some variations in final costs depending on exchange rate fluctuation & the number of taxes imposed at time of ticketing. Any additional costs or taxes that occur such as departure taxes payable at airports in cash will be the responsibility of the traveller.

PASSPORTS:

Please refer to www.dfat.gov.au for Australian passports to get the latest & complete information. For other citizens please contact your relevant embassy or consulate.

Some common points to be aware of:

  • Passports are required for all international travel. Most passports must have a minimum of 6 months validity from the date of scheduled return to Australia.
  • Travel documents & airline tickets must exactly match the name & spelling as appears in your passport/s. Additionally, for security reasons some airlines may require all details as they appear in the passport prior to ticketing. Please ensure that you advise your consultant of the correct details at the time of booking. We will need to sight your passport before any documents can be released & we will not be liable for any incorrect information given to us nor for any re-issue fees imposed by the airline or tour wholesaler should re-issue of documentation be required.
  • If travelling on any passport other than Australian it is the travellers responsibility to check re -entry & visa requirements. If you have a previous criminal record you could be denied entry into your country of destination.
  • Whilst we offer full assistance it is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure that they have full and correct documentation to undertake their journey.

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

Visa requirements vary for each destination country, & it is the obligation of the Traveller to ensure that all visa requirements are satisfied. The issuance of visa’s is not the responsibility of your travel agent & we cannot be held responsible should you be unable to obtain the correct visas to undertake your journey. Australian Passport holders require a visa to enter some countries. Some countries allow for a visa free stay for tourism purposes. If you are travelling on business this does not always apply. Also, if you or members of your travelling party have a recorded criminal offence entry may be denied. Please speak with the relevant consulate of the country you are visiting, prior to departure for further information. Consulates charge visa fees & we reserve the right to charge a service fee to cover courier fees & the like should we obtain this documentation on your behalf. Deportation for non-issuance or incorrect visa is at the traveller’s expense. Although many countries have visa free entry for tourists for specified lengths of stay, entry to that country is still a port of entry decision. If you plan to undertake independent travel whilst in Europe or elsewhere our consultants are more than happy to check the itinerary & the various countries, you may visit & advise what visas are required.

DEPARTMENT of FOREIGN AFFAIRS & TRADE WARNINGS:

For reasons of political unrest, acts of war or terrorism or natural disasters in certain parts of the world, the Australian Government in conjunction with various other worldwide bodies may decide to issue a Government Advisory warning to Australian passport holders not to travel to that country. In these instances, whilst travel to some countries is not advisable & some clauses of the travel insurance coverage may not be effective, we appreciate that some clients may still need to travel to those areas. Whilst we are prepared to make these bookings on our client’s behalf we do so without responsibility or liability. Should you wish to check with the Department of Foreign Affairs their web address is: www.dfat.gov.au.

There is also a service provided to Australian travellers where you are able to register your personal details i.e. passport numbers, contact details in Australia & the countries you will be visiting. These details are automatically passed on to the relevant Embassies of the countries you will be visiting. Simply register via the website: www.orao.dfat.gov.au to utilise this service, & for consulate warning www.smartraveller.gov.au

INTERNATIONAL DRIVING PERMITS:

If you intend driving overseas an International Driving Permit (IDP) is required for renting a motor vehicle in many countries. Also, most car rental companies require a credit card imprint before allowing the vehicle to be hired. If you require more information on either of these please ask your travel consultant.

FREQUENT FLYER PROGRAMS:

Most airlines offer Frequent Flyer Reward Programs. If you are not a member of any of these programs, we are happy to discuss your options & the benefits with you.  Similarly, if you are a member of any Frequent Flyer program please ensure that your consultant is aware of this immediately so that the necessary steps can be taken to ensure that you earn the rewards. As a safeguard it is also advisable to keep all your boarding passes so that you can verify this against your Points Summary after travel has been completed.

SPECIAL REQUESTS:

If you have any special requests: i.e. aisle or window seats, special dietary requests, airport assistance or hotel room type every attempt will be made by us to accommodate your request, but as we are not the ultimate service provider we are not in a position to be able to guarantee the request.

TRAVELLERS HEALTH ADVICE:

Some areas of the world have special vaccination & health requirements. We recommend that you contact your nearest Travellers Medical Centre who are specialists in this field. Your local doctor may not have access to the most recent World Health Organisation notices. If you are unable to undertake travel because you do not meet the health requirements, we will not be liable for any extra costs that may be incurred.

CHECK-IN PROCEDURES:

Each airline has their own formalities on check-in procedures so please read your it itinerary for the correct departure terminal. Please ask your travel consultant for further information.
